Scrimshander Gallery is a locally owned and operated art gallery located on Nantucket’s bustling Centre Street featuring artist Mike Vienneau. Patrons can expect to find an array of ornate and detailed carvings in responsibly sourced ivory, with many pieces incorporating other nautical materials like shells. These pieces are created using an increasingly rare, historical technique called Scrimshaw that dates back hundreds of years.
