Art by the Yard: Textile Pattern Printing with Sayzie Carr

Using natural dyes and paints, learn to design and create an original repeat pattern on fabric. Students will carve their design into a linoleum block and then print onto dyed fabric with mordant dyes and textile paint. Students are encouraged to bring historical or cultural inspirations as references in creating their designs.

Fabric and materials are provided, and students are encouraged to bring other fabrics that they may want to print.
