A Thanksgiving Estate Sale

A Thanksgiving Estate Sale

Presented by Egan Maritime Institute at Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum

Egan Maritime Institute will host our second annual Thanksgiving weekend art sale. Each year, we host a unique opportunity for Nantucket art and history lovers to purchase items from the Egan Foundation’s collection. The sale includes works by Charman, Fischer, Stobart, and Greenleaf. All items offered are either from Bud and Dorothy Egan’s estate or donated to Egan Maritime with the express purpose of helping to fund the foundation’s educational programs.

“We are thrilled to be able to share a selection of art from the Egan’s extensive collection with a wide audience. In addition, the proceeds of this sale will help support Egan Maritime’s commitment to preserving Nantucket’s rich maritime history,” said Carlisle Barron Jensen, Executive Director.

New this year will be a major blowout sale of gifts and books from the Museum Gift Shop. Many selections will be at a deep discount, and the curated selection of maritime books is said to be the best between Lisbon and downtown Nantucket. Our inventory also includes Nantucket souvenirs, children’s toys, and the popular Marshall the Seadog stuffed animals.

The Art & Gift Sale will be held at the Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum over Thanksgiving Weekend on Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26. Hours are 11:00 am – 4:00 pm on both days. Interested buyers are able to preview the sale Wednesday, November 23rd by appointment only. For inquiries please email Chuck Allard at museum@eganmaritime.org. The museum is located at 158 Polpis Road.
