ACKAPELLA

NCMC's top vocal ensemble for gifted singers age 14+ who are passionate about performance and looking for a challenge that will stimulate their growth and development. ACKapella is a performance ensemble, meaning from the very first rehearsal, the focus will be on achieving excellence in performance. Singers selected will be expected to work independently at home, as well as in rehearsal. Repertoire including rounds, polyphonic arrangments and 3-6 part harmonizations in multiple languages will be performed from memory, with some choreography. Excellent attendance is mandatory. Class culminates in an off-island concert tour and multiple public performances. An audition is required.
