The first professional theatre company on the island, White Heron Theatre Company aims to produce transformative, professional productions of classical and contemporary plays and create innovative educational experiences based on that work. They built the first purpose-built venue on-island for professional repertory theater, and work to foster the growth of professional theater through a range of artistic and education programs for the community. Most recently, the Company introduced White Heron Radio Theatre to enable continuing content for the Nantucket community through the coronavirus pandemic.
