NISDA's Seaview Farm Art Center

NISDA’s programs are held in the Nantucket land and seascape and at its studio facilities at Sea View Farms, a converted dairy barn in Wauwinet. Classroom and studio spaces at the NISDA Barn include two 2D/3D studios; a small textile studio; photo studio; library; silo gallery; and an outdoor open air studio.

Additionally, there is a open air ceramics studio in the Long Shed at the Farm with a skutt electric kiln, with the option of pit firing in the meadow or at the beach, and top-of-the-line throwing wheels.

NISDA program participants also enjoy working in the surrounding meadow or at nearby Polpis Harbor.

Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts (NISDA) has been dedicated to sharing the spirit and creativity that the Arts bring into our lives for over 40 years. NISDA offers a place to be inspired, refreshed, to create, and learn through their numerous programs for children, college-level adults, professional artists, public school students and teachers, and the Nantucket community. NISDA is a year-round cultural and arts educational institution and an arts resource center on Nantucket whose mission is to explore the connections of the arts, sciences, humanities, and the environment, and to enhance education, community and quality of life through the arts.
